CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSITS
When considering long term savings you will want to consider a Certificate of Deposit. The term of maturity can range from ninety days to seventy-eight months. Interest can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually, at maturity by check, compounded to face, or deposited into another account. INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS
The Individual Retirement Account is a long term savings plan which offers special tax advantages. Earnings on your deposits remain tax deferred until you make withdrawals. Consult your tax adviser for determination of complete tax benefits. See our deposit rates.
Each year you are eligible to contribute up to 100% of your compensation or $5,500.00, whichever is less. There are individual and spousal accounts available. The Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act (EGTRRA) of 2001 allows for “catch-up” provisions for those who attained age 50 or older by the end of their taxable year.
